To start the application process, please fill out the following application:

You can bring completed applications and proof documents to the school or email them to ersea@fpschools.org. Submitting an application does not guarantee you a place in our programs, so please consider other childcare options as well.

There is an income verification component to the application, so please submit the following documents.

1. Completed and signed Early Learning Application

2. Proof of Income (2024 W2, front page 2024 tax return, or last 12 months of pay stubs)

3. Proof of Residency and/or Verification of Residence

Utility Bill (garbage, sewer, water, cable)
Lease or Mortgage agreement
Signed Franklin Pierce Schools A lternate Verification of Residence Form, and one of the above items to verify name and address of owner/person responsible for residence.

4. Birth Certificate

5. Copy of Immunizations OR permission to look up on WAIIS

6. Proof of any food benefits or TANF/SSI (Benefits Letter with time period, name, and amount included)

Concerned about your child's development?

The child find screening serves children living within the Franklin Pierce School District that are 3-5 years old. The purpose of the Child Find screening is to determine if your child is in need of special education services. Your child’s skills in communication, fine and gross motor, school readiness, social and behavior, and hearing are screened to determine if further testing is needed.

Where is the Hewins ELC located?

Preschool Program Details

The Franklin Pierce Community Preschool Program is an integrated preschool program that provides a chance for students with and without disabilities to learn together in a developmentally appropriate classroom that also works to prepare students for Kindergarten. Children must turn 3 years old during the school year to qualify.

Class is in session on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Fridays. There is no school on Wednesdays. The classes are 3 ½ hours long and are offered in two separate sessions depending on your address.

Morning 8:00am - 11:30am
Afternoon 11:30pm - 3:00pm

Families may apply for Free preschool classes by completing the forms below and submitting them to the school office or ersea@fpschools.org.
